Finely carved panel pipe, with openwork throughout, depicting various stylized totemic animals and humans. At front an orca with thunderbird in mouth, at center three men, two men facing upwards in opposite directions, eagle and man at rear.
Accompanied with an old label;”Skittagetan, Haida Indians, Queen Charlotte Islands, black slate tobacco pipe, John b. Whiteman, 1924.”
