

A German Swept-Hilt Rapier
With associated blade formed in two stages, stamped with a series of letters within fuller on both sides at the forte and struck with bladesmith’s mark on the ricasso (pitted), and iron guilt hilt punched and engraved with flower-head and geometric pattern. A very similar sword is shown in the “Armi Bianchi” book (photos 327), broadsword of the 1600’s.
