ICON THE ASCENT OF THE PROPHET ELIAS

Represented in different stages of his life; sitting in a cave, illustrating the retreat of the saint into the desert, on the left an angel walking Elia. In the right bottom corner Elia followed by his disciple placing a cloth in the water of the river Jordan. At the top the disciple extending his arm to the chariot which brings the prophet to God, being seen in the left corner.
