

A Rare Ebonised Table Clock with Pivotted De Bethune Type Escapementa
The bell top case with handle and four cone finials over pierced wooden sound frets on a plinth base and brass ogee bracket feet, the repainted 8 inch dial with subsidiaries for strike/silent and rise-and-fall regulation over the Roman and Arabic chapters, the twin gut fusee movement with very substantial plates united by six knopped pillars, the going train with a modified de Bethune escapement and heavy copper-clad pendulum, the rack strike acting on a bell.
