

An Italian Silver - Encrusted Swept - Hilt Rapier
With slender tapering blade formed in two stages by a grove in the center (marking in the grove on the both sides), comprising two down-curved quillon with globular finial on both sides, the hilt guard is a scallop form shell-like shape. Spirally molded grip bound with patterned brass wire. The sword is a crab claw (very rare) rapier, broadsword of the 1600’s. It is considered to be Venetian.
