Vladimir Mother of God

Set on a reddish brown background, the Virgin Mary is wearing a rich dark blue robe. In the middle of her head shawl is a silver star and outlining the material’s borders are red and white lines. In her arms, she holds the young infant Jesus, who is looking up at her. He is dressed in a light red robe with a white scarf wrapping around his shoulders and torso. The scene is indented within the same color bordering: surrounding this frame is a thinly painted dark red lining. Some repainting.
